New NSW strata laws set to allow more pet ownership in apartments
New NSW laws that come into effect this week mean bylaws that unreasonably forbid the keeping of pets in strata buildings will be invalid.
This is by way of an amendment to the Strata Schemes Management Act covering the keeping of pets in apartment blocks.
The hope is that the new rulings will bring to a close the court and tribunal rulings and appeals processes that have pitted petlovers against those who don’t want pets in apartments.
